29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not initiate and maintain a program of frequent and regular inspections made by competent persons at the jobsite: a) When constructing an 18 ft tall plywood construction shed around the front of the restaurant the employer did not inspect to ensure that the shed was built according to the instructions of the project design plan. Stainless steel caps were not removed before attaching the shed to the building as was required by the plan to ensure the shed is properly connected to the building structure. Employees were exposed to shed collapse hazard. Location: 561 7th Ave, New York, N.Y. On or about 11/01/2013 NOTE: BECAUSE THIS ITEM WAS CORRECTED DURING THE INSPECTION THE EMPLOYER IS NOT REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION NOR DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
