29 CFR 1910.37(a)(4): Safeguards designed to protect employees during an emergency (e.g., sprinkler systems, alarm systems, fire doors, exit lighting) must be in proper working order at all times.  a) Office second floor- On or about  November 8, 2013, several exit signs designed to protect employees during an emergency were not illuminated during normal operation.  b) Office second floor- On or about November 8, 2013, emergency lights designed to protect employees during an emergency did not illuminate when the test button was pushed, which would not provide the required illumination for employee egress in the event of emergency power loss.
