29 CFR 1910.134(k)(6): The employer did not provide the basic advisory information on respirators, as presented in Appendix D of 29 CFR 1910.134, in written or oral format to employees who wear respirators when such use was not required by the employer: The employer is failing to provide voluntary respirator users with the information contained in Appendix D of the respiratory protection standard. Employees are exposed to hazards ranging from welding and paint fumes to dust particulates from sanding and grinding operations in the plant. Employees use multiple types of respirators ranging from supplied air respirators to N-95 filtering face piece respirators.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(2)(iii): The employer did not provide information to the employees as to the location and availability of the written hazard communication program, and material safety data sheets required by 29 CFR 1910.1200: The employer is failing to provide adequate Hazard Communication training to all employees either during their initial assignment or whenever a new physical or health hazard that the employee has not previously been trained for has been introduced into their work area. Some of the employees in the facility were not able to discuss training issues including but not limited to, the location of SDSs in the facility or the purpose of an SDS.
