29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not develop an accident prevention program, that provided for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment, to be made by competent persons designated by the employer.           a) Lake Ave & North St. Bay Head:  The employer did not initiate a program for a competent person to conduct frequent and regular inspections of the jobsite, to identify hazards and/or stop the work in the event workers were placed in a hazardous condition. As such, DJA Framing LLC employees conducting framing activities at the edge of the second floor decking of a residence under construction were not using fall protection (guardrails, positioning systems, PFAS, etc.) and were thus exposed to a fall hazard of greater than 25 feet.  Observed on or about 11/18/2013.        NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who was exposed to fall hazards that enabled each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.   a) Lake Ave & North St. Bay Head:  DJA Framing LLC employees conducting framing activities at the edge of the second floor decking of a residence under construction were not using fall protection (guardrails, positioning systems, PFAS, etc.) and were thus exposed to a fall hazard of greater than 25 feet.
