29 CFR 1926.303(b)(1): Grinding machines were not equipped with safety guards in conformance with the requirements of ANSI B7.1-1970, Safety Code for the Use, Care, and Protection of abrasive wheels, and paragraph (d) of this section.   (a) In the ISDA inspection area: On November 25, 2013 and at times prior thereto, the tongue guard on the Ryobi bench grinder was not in place while grinder was operated.  Note 1: Abatement certification IS required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iii): The repair splice in a hard service flexible cord No. 12 or larger did not retain the insulation, outer sheath properties, and usage characteristics of the cord which was being used:(a)(LOCATION)(IDENTIFY SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT AND/OR CONDITIONS)(DESCRIBE HAZARDS WHERE NECESSARY)  (a) In the ISDA inspection area: On November 25, 2013 and at times prior thereto,  the outer insulation on the flexible cord powering the hand grinder  was damaged exposing the inner cords and bare conducter.   Note: Abatement certification IS required for this item
