29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): Protective eye equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of eye or face injury from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation, that could be prevented by such equipment:   Sunrise Senior Living, Inc. dba Sunrise Assisted Living of Basking Ridge/Basking Ridge, NJ - Throughout the facility: The employer did not ensure that each affected employees working in the housekeeping department used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to hazards from liquid chemicals. Employees use corrosive chemicals such as but not limited to: - End Bac II Spray Disinfectant (pH 11.13) - Emerel Multi-Surface Creme Cleanser (pH 2.0) - Crew Clinging Toilet Bowl Cleaner (pH 1.0)  Condition observed on or about December 3, 2013.

29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes:    Sunrise Senior Living, Inc. dba Sunrise Assisted Living of Basking Ridge/Basking Ridge, NJ- Throughout the facility: The employer did not provide chemical resistant gloves which were appropriate for use to protect employees in the housekeeping department from chemical burns while using corrosive chemicals:  - End Bac II Spray Disinfectant (pH 11.13)  - Emerel Multi-Surface Creme Cleanser (pH 2.0)  - Crew Clinging Toilet Bowl Cleaner (pH 1.0)    Condition observed on or about December 3, 2013.

29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(4)(iv)(A)(2): Contaminated laundry was not placed and/or transported in bags or containers which were labeled or color-coded in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.1030(g)(1)(i):    Sunrise Senior Living, Inc. dba Sunrise Assisted Living of Basking Ridge/Basking Ridge, NJ- Laundry Area: Contaminated laundry was placed in clear plastic bags which were then stored in a bin/cart with no markings to indicate that the contents may be contaminated. Markings/labels to include but not limited to one or more of the following:  A Bio-hazard label, a bio-hazard symbol, an orange or orange-red label, and/or red bags or red containers may be substituted for labels.    Condition observed on or about December 3, 2013.
