29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms, and service rooms shall be kept clean and orderly and in a sanitary condition. 1. In the wood shop, near the the CNC router on the east wall, there was an excessive amount of saw dust and wood under the Glue Rack machine. 2. In the wood shop, near the compressor for the sprinkler system, there was debris such as paper, wood, metal and saw dust on the floor. 3. In the wood shop, near the panel box on the south wall, there was debris such as excessive saw dust on the floor.

29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): Energy control program. The employer shall establish a program consisting of energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performs any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative. 1. Throughout the plant, at the time of the inspection, the employer was operating multiple energy source (electric and pneumatic) machines without a machine specific energy control (lockout/tagout) program in place.
