Where occupational exposure remains after institution of these controls, personal protective equipment shall also be used:     a. Rising Sun Plaza, 551 Adams Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19120 - The dentists used Patterson Dental Disposable Plastic Hub Dental Needles 30 Gauge Short (0855569) to administer Lidocaine, dental anesthesia, to patients.  During the administration of dental anesthesia, the employer did not use commercially available and effective safer medical devices, such as, dental anesthetic needles with built-in safety features designed either to eliminate or to minimize the risk of accidental percutaneous injuries from needles contaminated with bloodborne pathogens, such as, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B (HBV), and hepatitis C (HCV). 29 CFR 1910.1030(c)(1)(v): An employer, who is required to establish an Exposure Control Plan did not solicit input from non-managerial employees responsible for direct patient care who are potentially exposed to injuries from contaminated sharps in the identification, evaluation, and selection of effective engineering and work practice controls and shall document the solicitation in the Exposure Control Plan:  a. Rising Sun Plaza, 551 Adams Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19120 - The employer did not solicit the input from non-managerial employees responsible for direct patient care who are potentially exposed to injuries from contaminated sharps in the identification, evaluation, and selection of effective engineering and work practice controls.
