29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iii): If used as permitted in paragraphs (g)(1)(ii)(C), (g)(1)(ii)(G), or (g)(1)(ii)(I) of this section, the flexible cord shall be equipped with an attachment plug and shall be energized from an approved receptacle outlet;    On December 19, 2013 and times prior thereto, the employer allowed for the use of a temporary flexible cord to be used as a substitute for  the fixed wiring of the structure.  Employees were using a surge protector extension cord to power a fan.  Employees were exposed to the hazard of electrical shock, burn, and fire.     Aluma-weld, Inc. dba Back Track Trailers was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.305 (g)(1)(iii) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 893787, citation number one (1), item number four (4) and was affirmed as a final order on May 13, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 199 Extrusion Place, Hot Springs, AR  71901.

Listed or labeled equipment shall be installed and used in accordance with any instructions included in the listing or labeling:    On or about December 19, 2013 and times prior thereto, located at 199 Extrusion Place in Hot Springs, Arkansas the employer allowed use of a relocatable tap on the workfloor of the boat manufacturing facility. Relocatable power taps are not intended for us in the manufacturing setting.  The relocatable power tap was used with a flexible cord to supply power for a fan.  Employees were exposed to electrical burns and/or fire hazards.
