29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: a) On or about January 07, 2014 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fire hazards due to utilizing extension cords as fixed wiring of a structure as follows: 1) Extension cords were hanging throughout the ceiling as fixed wiring in the production work area and were used to wire permanent fixtures involving receptacles mounted in the benches. 2) An extension cord was used to wire a household-type switch located on the Laguna saw.
