These employees had not received fall protection training from the company. Condition observed on or about 01/31/14.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502: a- 171 Pershing Road, Lavallette NJ: Employees, not supplied with fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 25 feet to the ground surface below when performing roof shingle installation and other related activities while working from a roof with a pitch of approximately 4 on 12. These employees had not received fall protection training from the company. Condition observed on or about 01/31/14. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 1903.19.
