29 CFR 1910.138(a):  Employers did not select and require employees to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands are exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasions; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes.   This violation was observed on or about January 15, 2014, the employer did not select and ensure employees using the Disinfecting Heavy Duty Acid Bathroom cleaner wore the appropriate hand protection exposing employees to the hazards of chemical burns.

29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms, and service rooms were not kept clean and orderly and in a sanitary condition.   This violation was observed on or about January 15, 2014, the storeroom located in "D" wing between the utility room and employee break room, the aisle was blocked by equipment and supplies exposing the employees to the hazards of trips and falls.
