The fall distance to the ground below was approximately 20 feet.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:   At the jobsite employee(s) were not instructed how to recognize and correct fall hazards while working on the roof. Employee(s) were observed working on the roof approximatley 20 feet from the ground without the use of fall protection.
