OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of contact with flammable & combustible liquids and other fire hazards:     Location; 1576 Bushwick Ave, Brooklyn, NY inside the shop, south west corner of shop.     a) A 15 year experienced Employee/Owner, while utilizing an overhead rotary lift, was attempting to remove/repair the fuel pump on a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo without emptying the gas tank, and supporting the tank while repairing the fuel system.       NOTE:  BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE CASE FILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION OR DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION AS NORMALLY REQUIRED BY 29 CFR 1903.19.
