(a) Second floor, new townhome construction located on Lots #45-50 Tenor Lane, Alpharetta, GA 30009: Employees were exposed to eye injuries while operating Makita (Model 5007F) 7-1/4-inch Circular Saws and Hitachi (Model NR83A-S1) Framing Nail Guns without safety glasses.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502: (a) Second floor, new townhome construction located on Lots #45-50 Tenor Lane, Alpharetta, GA 30009: Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 11-feet, 3-inches to the lower level while installing OSB plywood sub-flooring without a fall protection system in place. The employer failed to provide guardrails or personal fall arrest systems to prevent employees from falling to lower levels.
