29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall or come against, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement. On or about 2-12-2014, the employer failed to ensure that reinforcing steel (rebar) was guarded to protect employee(s) from impalement hazards. Rebar approximately 3 feet high was protruding unguarded out of a concrete slab that employees were working in and around.
