29 CFR 1910.26(c)(2)(vii): Ladders having defects were not marked and taken out of service until repaired.    (a) 5151 Sunrise Highway, Bohemia, NY (Worksite), DSD Warehouse Area - Employees used an 8' portable steel safety ladder to retrieve products from shelving units. The ladder was defective in that it had broken structural members; broken welds; missing fastening hardware; a bent caster; and the kick down safety step was missing a rubber stopper and not functioning on, or about February 28, 2014.    Note: Abatement for this violation was previously documented; therefore, the employer is not required to submit abatement certification for this violation in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
