29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(ii)(B): The energy control procedures did not clearly and specifically outline the steps for shutting down, isolating, blocking and securing machines or equipment to control hazardous energy:  a)Timco Aviation Services, Inc.-Macon, GA-Employees serviced and performed maintenance on equipment such as, but not limited to, air compressors(1-3), shears, bead blaster, hydraulic press, and gas heaters, which are operated by electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic energies.  Written specific procedures addressing the electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic energies were not developed on or about 1/24/14.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide adequate training to ensure that employees acquired the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage and removal of energy control devices:  a)Timco Aviation Services, Inc.-Macon, GA-Employees serviced and performed maintenance on equipment such as, but not limited to, air compressors (1-3), shears, bead blaster, hydraulic press, and gas heaters, which are operated by electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic energies.   Authorized specific training addressing the electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic energies as well as safe application was not ensured for all employees, on or about 1/24/14.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.1026(d)(2): The employer did not perform initial monitoring to determine the 8-hour TWA exposure for each employee on the basis of a sufficient number of personal breathing zone air samples to accurately characterize full shift exposure on each shift, for each job classification, in each work area:  a) Timco Aviation Services, Inc.-Maintenance employees are required to clean the media blaster located in the main hangar.  The employer has not conducted initial monitoring, on or about 01/24/14.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.1026(l)(1): The employer did not ensure that all employees who were assigned to workplaces where there was exposure to chromium (VI) were provided with information and training as required by the Hazard Communication Standard 29 CFR 1910.1200:  Timco Aviation Services, Inc., Macon, GA-Maintenance employees during the cleaning and maintenance process had not been trained on the health effects of hexavalent chromium, and/or proper removal of personal protective equipment, on or about 1/24/14.
