29 CFR 1926.454(a)(1): The employer failed to have each employee who performs work while on a scaffold trained regarding the nature of any electrical hazards, fall hazards and falling object hazards in the work area. 1) 100 Commons Drive, Peachtree City, GA - The employer failed to train employees working and operating a JLG aerial lift model 400S and serial 030083283 while conducting touch-up welding work. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard approximately 27 feet below ground level.

29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A safety harness with lanyard attached to the boom or basket was not worn by employee(s) working from an aerial lift: 1) Westpark Walk Plaza, 100 Commons Drive, Peachtree City, GA - Employees were working from a JLG aerial lift truck model 400 S and serial 0300083283 approximately 27 feet high without wearing a positioning device attached by lanyard to the basket or the boom of the lift, while welding the steel beams. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard. The Porter Steel, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315737957, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on October 18, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 3277 Satellite Boulevard, Duluth, GA 30096.
