29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent) and toeboards: Note: Toeboards are only required when persons can pass, there is moving equipment or there is equipment with which falling materials could create a hazard. a) On or about 03/06/14 at the draining shed; employer failed to protect employees working on the draining station platform, from a six foot fall, while draining fluids from scrap vehicles, when the front and back areas on the west side of the platform did not have guardrails. b) On or about 03/06/14 at the draining shed; employer failed to protect employees working on the draining station platform, from a six foot fall, when the mid rail of a section of guardrail on the east side of the platform was bent and not attached to the stanchion. No Abatement Certification Required
