OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that e  employees were exposed to being struck by automotive lifts:    Employees were working under automotive lifts that had inoperative safety latches, exposing the employees to being injured due to failure of lift supports.         Violation observed on or about March 4, 2014.    ABATEMENT NOTES:      AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT HAZARD IS TO:    Repair the safety latches and all safety equipment on lifts.
