29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment, including personal protective equipment for eyes, face, head, and extremities were not provided and used wherever it was necessary for hazards capable of causing injury through physical contact: a) Laurel Apartments: On March 12, 2014 and at times prior thereto employees performing tree trimming activities on the ground, were exposed to a laceration hazard while using a Stihl MS270 chainsaw without the use of protective leg chaps. Note) Abatement certification IS required for this item.

29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: a) Laurel Apartments: On March 12, 2014 and at times prior thereto employees were exposed to the hazard of flying debris while operating the Morbark Blizzard chipper machine without the use of face protection. b) Laurel Apartments: On March 12, 2014 and at times prior thereto an employees were exposed to the hazard of flying debris while operating the Morbark Blizzard chipper machine without the use of appropriate eye protection. Note) Abatement certification IS required for this item.
