29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt with lanyard attached to the boom or basket was not worn by employee(s) working from an aerial lift.   The employer does not protect employees from being ejected when working from a aerial lifts. This violation was observed on or about March 10, 2014, on the west side of the structure where employees were exposed to an ejection and a fall hazard of approximately 30 feet when performing work from an elevated aerial lift without utilizing a body harness with a lanyard to protect them from being ejected.      Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees wear body harnesses with lanyards attached while employees work from elevated aerial lifts.

29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems.  The employer does not protect employees from falls when engaged in steel erection activities, with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet above lower levels. This violation was observed on or about March 10, 2014, on the west side of the structure where employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 30 feet when performing sheet metal roofing activities without a fall protection system.      Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees are protected from falling when performing steel erection activities 15 feet above lower levels.
