29 CFR 1910.215(a)(2): Abrasive wheel(s) used on grinding machinery were not provided with safety guard(s) which covered the spindle end, nut, flange projections: a. At the establishment, employees were exposed to caught-in and struck-by hazards, in that there were no safety guards to cover the spindle end and nuts on the flange projections on either side of the 6-inch bench grinder. As noted on or about 03/26/2014, the grinder was being used de-burring finished parts.

At the establishment, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards, in that there was no work rest present while using the 6-inch abrasive wheel grinder. As noted on or about 03/26/2014, the grinder was being used de-burring finished parts.
