29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents: Employees installing shingles were exposed to eye injury hazards associated with construction work in that eye protection was not provided while using the pneumatic nail gun. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the above violation is complete.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: Employees installing shingles were exposed to fall hazards of 9 feet from the roof to the ground below. Employees were working on the roof with no fall protection methods in use. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(2) abatement of the above violation was verified at time of inspection, no certification is required.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): A training program was not provided to each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards, to enable that employee to recognize the hazards of falling, and be trained in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards: Employees installing shingles were exposed to fall hazards of 9 feet from the roof to the ground below. Employees were not trained effectively to recognize the circumstances when fall protection was required and the means/methods to implement to ensure compliance. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the above violation is complete.
