The 60 foot H piles being hoisted and in the process of being unhooked were not rigged to prevent unintentional displacement.    Violation observed on or about 03/31/2014.

The (2) 25 foot wire ropes which were attached from the hook block of the crane to 12 foot alloy steel slings used in lifting the H piles did not have hooks with self-closing latches at the attachment point to the alloy steel slings.
