OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to hazards associated with being in close proximity to an unsecured and unstable suspended load.    (a) Location: 17 Fitchburg Street, Marlborough MA, 01752, VFW Hall Renovation    On or about 3/29/2014, the employer failed to ensure that a suspended 20 foot steel I-beam was fully secured from movement or collapse before removing the equipment that positioned and held it in place.
