29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2)(iii): The employer did not assure that each employee had been trained, as necessary, by a competent person qualified in the use and operation of guardrail systems, personal fall arrest systems, safety net systems, warning line systems, safety monitoring systems, controlled access zones, and other protection to be used: a) Residential jobsite: On April 8, 2014 and at times prior thereto the employer and the employees did not recognize or acknowledge the potential fall hazards while performing roofing work on a 4 in 12 pitched roof. The employer was not familiar with the acceptable fall protection for this type of work. Note) Abatement certification IS required for this item.
