29 CFR 1910.22(a)(2): The floor of every workroom shall be maintained in a clean and, so far as possible, a dry condition. Where wet processes are used, drainage shall be maintained, and false floors, platforms, mats, or other dry standing places should be provided where practicable.    WORSHOP/WAREHOUSE:  The floor surface in and around the overhead door was wet and slippery due to water was leaking through the ceiling/roof, creating a slip and fall hazard.

WORKSHOP:  The outer sheathing of the red extension cord, used to power the DeWalt cutting drill was cut and repaired with electrical tape.      ABATED DURING THE INSPECTION    JGS Property dba R.A. Lalli was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 29 CFR 1910.305 (g)(1)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 123192445, Citation 1, Item number 6(a),  issued on 03-21-2011, with a final order date of  4-8-2011, with respect to a workplace location at 1805 Stratford Avenue, Stratford, CT 06615.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employers shall provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area. Information and training may be designed to cover categories of hazards (e.g., flammability, carcinogenicity) or specific chemicals. Chemical-specific information must always be available through labels and material safety data sheets.    WORKSHOP:  The employees, required to work with and handle chemicals, such as (but not limited to) hydraulic oil and alcohol were not provided with training and information in the hazard communication program    ABATED DURING THE INSPECTION..
