29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch:  On or about 4/24/2014, the employer allowed an employee to use a Milwaukee Pedestal grinder located in the sheet metal fabrication area of the shop with a improperly adjusted tongue guard. The measured distance between the abrasive wheel and the adjustable tongue guard was one and one half inch.  Traina Mechanical, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard  1910.215(b)(9), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314774118, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/23/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 4414 Flamingo Street, Metairie, Louisiana.
