29 CFR 1910.176(b): Secure storage. Storage of material shall not create a hazard. Bags, containers, bundles, etc., stored in tiers shall be stacked, blocked, interlocked and limited in height so that they are stable and secure against sliding or collapse. a. At the workplace, in the Bigfoot 9H Well area, on or about April 5, 2014, two employees were exposed to a BOP device and attached equipment that was being improperly stored on a rack. The rack was designed to only hold the BOP device and not the BOP with attached equipment assembly.
