29 CFR 1926.102(a)(2): Eye and face protection equipment required by this Part did not meet the requirements specified in American National Standards Institute, Z87.1-1968, Practice for Occupational and Educational Eye and Face Protection:  On the first level of the hotel in the buffet area: Ordinary prescription glasses were worn instead of eye protection that met ANSI Z87.1-1968 standards. There were no Z87 markings on the lenses, bows or frame of the prescription glasses. Employees that used a battery powered Makita circular saw and a 110 VAC powered Kolbalt compound miter saw to cut particle board cabinets were exposed to the hazard of being struck by chips, staples, covering and other materials from the particle boards.

29 CFR 1926.405(a)(2)(ii)(I): Flexible cords and cables were not protected from damage:  On the first level of the hotel at the south exit door:  An extension cord was pinched between the bottom of a metal door and door frame. The flexible cord powered a 110 VAC Milwaukee right angle grinder. Employees were exposed to the hazard of contacting electricity.
