29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, shall be protected by protective helmets:   (a). Worksite located at 2315 NE Independence Ave., Lee's Summit, Missouri- Employees were exposed to an overhead hazard from tools and materials located overhead and were not protected from impact by the use of hard hats.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:   (a). Worksite located at 2315 NE Independence Ave., Lee's Summit, Missouri- Employees were observed working on the edge of the roof without any means of fall protection.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's  length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:  (a). Worksite located at 2315 NE Independence Ave., Lee's Summit, Missouri- Employees were exposed to a fall hazard in that the employees were using a ladder to get on and off the roof that did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface.
