29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent:           a) Rough Mill:  On or about July 17, 2014, employee operating the Planer, Re-saw, Grinder, Gangrip and next to chain saw operation was exposed to continuous noise at 76.7% of the permissible daily noise exposure (8-hour Time Weighted Average sound level of 85 dBA) during the 440 minute sampling period.  For a full eight hour work shift this exposure is equivalent to an average sound level of 88.0 dBA.  Exposure calculations include a zero increment for the 40 minutes not sampled.         b)  Rough Mill:  On or about July 17, 2014, employee helper operating the Planer, Re-saw, Grinder, Gangrip and chain saw were exposed to continuous noise at 103.6% of the permissible daily noise exposure (8-hour Time Weighted Average sound level of 85 dBA) during the 435 minute sampling period.  For a full eight hour work shift this exposure is equivalent to an average sound level of 90.2 dBA.  Exposure calculations include a zero increment for the 45 minutes not sampled.
