29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a) 1701 Sunrise Highway, Bay Shore, NY (Worksite), mall roof, east side - Two employees were observed installing new 3" diameter gas lines in a commercial building and were working along the edge of the flat roof at a height of 16'-11", without any form of fall protection on, or about May 21, 2014.    Note: Abatement for this violation was previously documented; therefore, the employer is not required to submit abatement certification or documentation for this violation in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
