29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: a) Facility Floor, Tri State Buns, 810 Warren Street, Harrison, NJ 07029. An employee on the buns packaging line was exposed to continuous noise levels at 85.8% of the permissible daily noise exposure (8 hour time weighted average sound level of 90 dBA) which is 0.86 times the allowable 85 dBA. The equivalent sound level of the measured dose is 88.9 dBA. Sampling was performed for 474 minutes on 9/4/2014 with the unsampled portion of time considered to represent zero for the exposure calculation. Condition noted on or about 9/4/2014.
