29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six or more feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:                                                                         On the canopy/ awning of the property located approximately at 8802 L street, Omaha, NE:  The employer failed to ensure that employees exposed to falls greater than 6 feet were protected. An employee of Juan Gonzalez dba United Drywall was observed by Compliance Officers working on an awning/canopy exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.    United Drywall: the employer is failing to provide fall protection training to employees who may be exposed to falls while working. Employee of United Drywall was observed by Compliance Officers exposed to a fall of approximately 10 feet.
