29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):  One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, rotating parts, flying debris, and ingoing nip points:      On or about June 27, 2014, the employer did not install point of operation guards on band saws.  Employees were exposed to rotating parts, flying debris, and ingoing nip points in the following instances:  a)  Vertical contour band saw,    b)  Marvel Armstrong-Blum series 8 Mark II saw,    c)  DoAll 12" band saw,    d)  Kalamazoo 10" saw.    ROTOM, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number903546, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/05/2013, with respect to a workplace located at 200 W. 24th Street, Plainview, Texas 79072.
