29 CFR 1926.304(d): All portable, power-driven circular saws were not equipped with guards above and below the base plate or shoe. When the tool is withdrawn from the work, the lower guard did not automatically and instantly return to the covering position:    a) Residential jobsite: On July 1, 2014 employees used a Makita circular saw with the lower blade guard pinned back with a piece of wood.    b) Residential jobsite: On July 1, 2014 employees used a Skilsaw circular saw with the lower guard pinned back with a nail.      Note) Abatement certification IS required for these items.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system:    a) Residential jobsite: On July 1, 2014 an employee was performing framing activity on the exterior top plate without a fall protection system in place.        Medicine Elk Vinyl Siding, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 730441, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on December 19, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 17966 N Creag Way, Boise, ID 83714.    The Medicine Elk Vinyl Siding, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 507598, citation number 1, item number 3 a, and was affirmed as a final order on December 19, 2012,, with respect to a workplace located at N. Streams Edge Way at N. Vantage Place, Boise, ID 83714.    Note: Abatement certification AND documentation are required for this item.
