29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:   The employer does not ensure that each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels is protected by a guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.  This violation was observed on or about July 10, 2014, on the north side of the building where employees were exposed to a fall hazard greater than 6 feet when installing felt without a fall protection system.     Pursuant to 29 C.F. R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels is protected by a guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.
