29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)  a) Throughout Facility - On or about 7/30/14, the employer did not properly assess the workplace in order to determine if there were hazards likely to be present, while working on the plating lines, which would require personal protective equipment.  Employees working on the plating lines work with concentrated acids such as 98% sulfuric acid and are not required to wear face shields, arm length rubber gloves, or aprons.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
