29 CFR 1910.253(e)(3)(ii)(C)(3): Flashback protection was not provided by an approved device that would prevent flame from passing into the fuel gas system:    a.)    Jordan Point Marine Service: On or about 08/04/14, an oxygen and acetylene rig for heating parts was not provided with a flashback protective device in-line of the acetylene gas, as a result employees were potentially exposed to severe burns.     Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): Live parts of electric equipment operating at 50 volts or more were not guarded against accidental contact by approved cabinets or other forms of approved enclosures, or other means listed under this provision:    a.)    Jordan Point Marine Service: On or about 08/05/14, a cover was not provided over the live conductor wires of a 120 volts wall recessed electrical outlet thereby exposed an employee to a potential shock hazard.     Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iv): Employee training did not include the details of the hazardous communication program developed by the employer, including an explanation of labels received on shipped containers and the work place labeling system used by their employer, and the safety data sheet, including the order of information and how the employees can obtain and use the appropriate hazard information:    a.)      Jordan Point Marine Service: On or about 08/05/14, the employer did not train employees that use Gel-Kote, Micron CSC Black Antifouling and other hazardous chemicals in the workplace on the new labels received on shipped containers and safety data sheets.       Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
