29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10):   Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.   The employer does not protect employees from falling when engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roof with unprotected side and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels. This violation was observed on or about August 15, 2014, at the newly constructed Waffle House, on the south side of the roof where two employees were exposed to a fall hazard of more than 6 feet while performing roofing activities without a fall protection system.  Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees engaged in roofing activites 6 feet or more above lower levels are protected from falling.
