OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to potential crushing hazards from falling loads:      (a)  On or about September 4, 2014, and times prior to that date, employees who worked around and under the automotive lifts were exposed to injury in that lifts were not being lowered onto the safety locks when elevated to perform work in the shop area of Phil Long Valucar.      Phil Long was previously cited for a violation of the OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection 833301, Citation 1 Item 1, issued on February 8, 2013 and became a final order on February 27, 2013 with respect to a worksite located at 1565 Auto Mall Loop, Colorado Springs, CO 80920.    Abatement Note:     Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement would be to follow the requirements of ANSI/ALI ALOIM and/or ALI/ALCTV which includes, among other requirements, the following:      1.   Lowering the lifted vehicle onto the manufacturer's safety locks and/or suitable jack-stands rated for the intended load.      2.   Provide training to employees on proper use and care of the lifts.
