29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    a) Spring Street Viaduct Project located at 72 Marietta Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30303: Employee was exposed to falls when a fall protection system was not used. The barricaded area was left open after an excavator was used to perform demolition work which exposed an employee to falls while walking near the edge.
