29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1): Employees were permitted to work in proximity to electric power circuits and were not protected against electric shock by de-energizing and grounding the circuits or effectively guarding the circuits by insulation or other means: At a jobsite in Downers Grove, Illinois, employees framing a garage were exposed to shock/electrocution from inadvertent contact with 7,200 Volt primary distribution lines that were not effectively insulated or de-energized and grounded. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
