29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1): Within ten calendar days after the abatement date, the employer must certify to OSHA (the Agency) that each cited violation has been abated, except as provided in paragraph (c)(2) of this section: a. The employer has failed to submit abatement certification within ten days of the abatement date, October 18, 2014, for a violation of 29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vii), issued as citation 1, item 1a, and described as follows: At the worksite where an employee was pressure washing the exterior of the building from an elevated Grout Hog being used as a temporary elevated platform, the employee was not protected from falls by the use of personal fall arrest system, thereby being exposed to a 18 foot fall hazard. b. The employer has failed to submit abatement certification within ten days of the abatement date, October 18, 2014, for a violation of 29 CFR 1926.701(d), issued as citation 1, item 1b, and described as follows: On the south side of the building an employee was pressure washing the exterior of the building from an elevated Grout Hog bucket, thereby being exposed to an 18 foot fall hazard.

At the worksite where an employee was pressure washing the exterior of the building from an elevated Grout Hog being used as a temporary elevated platform, the employee was not protected from falls by the use of personal fall arrest system, thereby being exposed to a 18 foot fall hazard.
