OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish the employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards: a) Hand pack storage area: Employees were exposed to racks storing products three shelves high that had damaged feet on the vertical uprights in three sections, on or about 10/1/14. b) Artisanal storage area; Employees were exposed to racks storing products three shelves high that had damaged feet on the vertical uprights in three sections, on or about 10/1/14. c) East side dry bulk storage area: Employees were exposed to racks storing products three shelves high that had damaged feet on the vertical uprights in three sections, on or about 10/1/14. d) West side dry bulk storage area: Employees were exposed to racks storing products three shelves high that had damaged feet on the vertical uprights in three sections, on or about 10/1/14. e) Freezer bulk storage area: Employees were exposed to racks storing products three shelves high that had damaged feet on the vertical uprights in four sections, on or about 10/1/14. f) Freezer Whole Foods storage area: Employees were exposed to racks storing products three shelves high that had damaged feet on the vertical uprights in four sections, on or about 10/1/14. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
