Abatement certification for this violation is not required.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: (a) On or about October 1, 2014 at worksite located at 550 Napoleon Dr, Blue Springs, MO.-employees engaged in commercial roofing activities on a low-sloped roof with unprotected sides and edges were exposed to serious fall hazards, in that they had not been trained in the use and operation of required Fall Protection Systems. As result, employees were exposed to fall hazards up approx. 30-35 feet above the concrete surface below. Abatement certification is required for this item. Use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.
