The majority of the trusses were not secured and /or braced. On or about 10/01/14, employees were engaging in aligning the east end of the buildings trusses. Truss #60 to truss #84 towards the back of the building were being pulled using nylon straps in multiple locations (see case file diagram) and while using come-a-longs to align the trusses when truss collapse occurred striking one employee. Employee was struck on the back and crushed by the wooden trusses requiring hospitalization. Employees were exposed to the hazards of collapse of more than 80 inadequately braced roof trusses while working on, under, inside a 75 foot wide 100 foot long wooden framed structure that was partially framed and inadequately braced. Spans of 75 foot trusses which require more complex temporary installation restraint/bracing and are required to consult a registered design professional and to supervise the erection. Building Component Safety Information (BCSI-B2) are engineering drawings on how to install trusses properly.
